POLYRISE supports R&D job preservation measure

On January 12, in a press release, the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche announced the success of the measure to preserve research and development jobs. It was in September 2020, as part of the France Relance plan, that this system was set up in order to maintain the human research and development capacities of companies, while strengthening the links between public and private research, and supporting the employment of young graduates.

In this context, POLYRISE recruited a young doctor, in collaboration with the «Polymères pour l’électronique, l’énergie et l’information» team of the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques 4 (LCPO UMR 5629 – Université de Bordeaux, CNRS, Bordeaux INP). This recruitment is an essential and determining element in the successful development of the Coatings project. This project aims to implement new formulations of antifouling “sol-gel” varnishes incorporating features inspired by biomimicry that meet the regulatory requirements imposed on its customers. One of the challenges is to free itself from the fluorine currently present in commercial antifouling varnishes.
